Thank you for considering an interview on “River Allsorts”. This page will help you to understand our offer, and what would be required.
Broadcast Area
The Broadcast Area is Shepparton and surrounding towns. Keep this in mind when talking to us. The show itself is pre-recorded and will air at a future time in the Thursday 5pm to 6pm timeslot. Currently we are a few episodes ahead, so it might be some weeks before it airs on ONE FM.
Interview Day availability
Interviews are available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Weekends. If you are doing a studio interview, it will need to be on a Thursday afternoon, unless otherwise arranged.
Interviews via Zoom
Most Interviews are conducted via Zoom (zoom.us). The audio from the Zoom call will be broadcast. The vision will not be used in public, it is just for the benefit of myself (the interviewer) and you. If you would prefer to use another method of recording, please let us know.
Use of External Microphone
Where possible, we ask that you use an external microphone for the interview. This will help improve the sound quality of the interview when broadcast
Location Interviews
Local people may be visited on site for an interview by arrangement. Locals to Shepparton can come to the ONE FM studios on a Thursday afternoon if desired.
The interview
The interview will run for a 12 minute segment, followed by another 12 minute segment. If desired, we can do a one segment only interview of 12 minutes. If the interview stalls at any point, we will pick it up again, and edit the quiet parts out. Remember, it is recorded, so any mistakes, etc, can be edited if required.
Segments
SEGMENT 1
Segment 1 will be general music content as per a usual episode.
SEGMENT 2
Segment 2 will be general music content,, followed by a music DOUBLE PLAY.
SEGMENT 3
Segment 3 contains the interview, followed by a CLOSING COUNTRY song.
The non interview parts of the show will be edited in later, to save your time.
Closing Country
If possible, we will ask for your suggestions for a track for this segment.
For general interviews, these will be a track of the interviewees choice.
If you are a country musician, these should be one of your own tracks. If you are not a country musician, the closing country segment won’t run, and will be one of your tracks instead.
MixCloud
Completed shows will be uploaded to MixCloud. This is where you can listen back to the interview. Interviewees will get access to their episode as soon as possible after the interview.
SoundCloud
The interview part of the show will be uploaded to SoundCloud in edited form.
ONE FM Podcasts
The interview part of the show might be used as a ONE FM podcast on their website, at the station’s discretion.
