In my fast-tracked training, the first show was recorded on 4/7/2024, along with the second show.
This was only my second day at the station, the first day being a “watch and observe” with my trainer, Josh, where he went live to air for an hour to demo the studio. Much appreciated, Josh!
The recordings of the first two shows turned out to be a marathon day!
I made a few mistakes, which required a LOT of editing to correct. Having already used Audacity, I was OK with the editing side of the business, and was able to resolve my first day mess into broadcast-able episodes.
Since then, production is getting faster. The eventual aim is to progress to some live shows in the near future, maybe during summer, when my one hour drive back to Echuca won’t be “in the dark!”
I have since also pre-recorded shows in “my shed” at home in Echuca, and visit the studio every fortnight for recordings.
